I tried a scoop of this from my friend who loves this product and swears by it even coming off of a cycle or two of
jack3d (which I got him onto). He told me that the stimulants are great and that he really feels the energy. He gave me one scoop of fruit punch flavor, and honestly I enjoyed the taste. It tasted like Hawaiian Punch with a hint of a vitamin-ish after taste. The energy could be felt in about 10 minutes after consuming, and it was mediocre at best. There is a point after taking a PWO that you're like "okay, I feel it coming on, it's about to kick in full force". That's how I felt the whole time, it never kicked in more after that. It gave me a "smooth" buzz which was equivalent to a cup or two of strong coffee. I felt a very slight tingle of beta-alanine during the beginning of my workout, but that was it. The energy was pretty much gone by the end of the workout, which can be a pro for some and a con for others. Personally, I like a product that gives you lasting pumps that you feel even when you're done. There was no crash, which is a plus, and I felt I could lift my regular weight amounts with a little more ease with a little less rest in between. Nothing drastic to report, but then again the recommended serving for "intense workouts for 150-200lb males" is two scoops, and I only had 1. Comparing it to my experience with
Jack3d, this didn't deliver as much energy and tingle, but it did have a smooth taste, decent energy, and a short increase in aggression and
recovery time. I'd buy
Jack3d again before I'd buy this, but I wouldn't doubt that I'll be trying this again in the near future, the only problem is the price tag ($45 at VitaminShoppe.com for only 20 two-scoop servings).
